a mega initiative whose foundation stone was laid in year 1959. The idea was to
cater to the increasing and ever-changing demands of wholesale textile trade.

New Cloth Market had been started as an offshoot of already existing Maskati Cloth
Market Mahajan. It has not only contributed in the development of wholesale textile
market in Ahmedabad, but has also been helping the association members economically
and socially. It is undoubtedly the biggest textile business hub in whole of Asia.

The
market had been really a dream come true for the respectable members of the association
who strived for it from their heart and soul. Although its instigation saw several
turbulent phases, every hardship was overcome by true dedication and determination.
Result of such perseverance has borne fruit in the form of The New Cloth Market.
It is one of its kinds having a unique identity in being an unmatched textile hub
in India.
